Oh my gosh, I never would have believed that my life would be so busy that I would have less time to waste on tumblr. I feel as if I’m cheating on it with life haha. Well enough of the prattle, these past two weeks have been so hectic. I started my internship at Spin Music Studios today and after only one day I knew that I have to make the sacrifices necessary to make this work; I don’t see myself not being involved with music in my life, this is my life. Today we went over the propagation of sound and how acoustics play an important role in the process of recording (yeah I know, it’s boring stuff, but hey you gotta start somewhere no?) and for the rest of the day I shadowed my mentor (Peter Benjamin…yeah I know, if his last name was Parker I would have lost it xD) as he recorded and mixed tracks.
The studio is working on Lamb of Gods’ next album and yeah, it’s a total face melter. Chris Adler is a fucking bearded drum monster that pwns all (holy crap, when was the last time anyone has used the word pwn????) It’s crazy how fast all of this is happening. I need to ask my little brother if I could borrow his flip camera so I can post videos of the studio on here haha.
Well anywhoo, in other news, while I’m doing all that, I was also in the hiring process with Apple at the Manhasset store on Long Island ^_^ I’m definitely gonna get hired, I just have to wait for my background check. Oh and to anyone whose considering applying to an Apple store, here’s a sure fire way to get hire. Absolutely positively be yourself. Apple does not care if you have a Harvard degree and know the ins and out of a Mac. They’re looking for a certain type of person.
The best way to show them that you’re that type, make a strong lasting first impression. When I sat down for the group interview (yeah all of Apples interviews are group interviews) they asked us what makes us special and different. I looked around the room and noticed that no one wanted to answer first, so I did. I admit I was insanely chopped during the interview so I didn’t care what happened next. I said hey everyone, you would agree that a picture is worth a thousand words right?? (everyones nodded and agreed) I pulled out my ipod and showed them this picture and said this is me and this is what I’m all about.

Needless to say they amount of laughter in the room completely killed anyones sense of nervousness and from that moment, when I saw that practically all the managers couldn’t keep their eyes off me I knew I got the job.
Oh and if any of you readers out there are curious about this picture all I will say is this is what I do for my friends on valentines day…(I guess that makes me a bit of a loser u_u) but I digress. Make an impression. Don’t be afraid to be you. That’s what Apple wants, and lets be honest, who wouldn’t want a real person to work with??
I can’t wait till friday though, the Vans Warped Tour is coming to Nassau Coliseum and The Expendables are playing!!! Can’t fucking wait ^_^
The more I think about it, the more I wonder..lately I’ve felt strange.. Is this what it feels like to be happy?? I’ve never felt passionate about my life up until now. This feels..so nice. I could get used to this.
But anyways, it’s approximately 4:14 am and I have to be back at the studio at 10.
Damn you insomnia o_o
